EBERT WALTERS died April 22, 2009.
During his childhood, Ebert “Sonny” Walter was counseled by his tough old cowboy grandfather from Wyoming that “if ye wanted to live a long life, the secret was to sprinkle a ‘pinch of gun power on ‘yer oatmeal every morning for breakfast.
His remaining family said Ebert did that religiously every morning, having outlived his wife Iona by 42 years.
He died in April of 2009 at the age of 104.
Ebert Walters left behind 14 children, 30 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, 25 great-great grandchildren…
and a 15 foot hole where the crematorium used to be located!
