Atheist Care of My Pets After the Rapture Occurs
Posted on September 01, 2009 by Nancy Houser
If you see that something is wrong in the world that affects innocent people and animals, yet do nothing about it…you are part of the problem. While I personally honor the many differences of people all over the world, fighting for individual rights, I feel that if harm or malicious scamming is done to innocent people and animals we as a society should step in immediately without waiting for someone else to do it first. Just because people disagree does not mean they are wrong or should be jailed unless something or someone is harmed in the process.
With this in mind, it takes quite a bit to dumbfound me and leave me speechless, especially in regard to people with personal animal care. BUT I have run across a website which has left me shaking my head with their ability to prey on innocent Christian pet owners who believe in the Rapture.
It involves a specific website online which states that they can offer the next best thing in a Post Rapture World:
“You’ve committed your life to Jesus. You know you’re saved. But when the Rapture comes what’s to become of your loving pets who are left behind? Eternal Earth-Bound Pets takes that burden off your mind.”
To sign up leaving your pet to the care of an self-proclaimed atheist on their website will cost you $110 if the Rapture occurs within the next ten years, $15 for each addition pet. So….you are paying someone who does not believe in the Rapture or God or any higher power to care for your pet when you leave, IF it occurs within ten years. After that you loose your money.
WHAT IS THE RAPTURE?
The Rapture is a prophesied event in Christian eschatology in which living Christians, as well as the bodies of those Christians who have died, are suddenly taken away from the earth to be with Jesus Christ. Most Christians also believe that Jesus will return in stages with the Rapture, or the Second Coming of Christ, where upon Jesus will “snatch” us out of harm’s way from the evils of earth and mankind.
“About 85 percent of Christian theologians and Christians who have studied the Bible (as opposed to just reading it) believe in the Rapture and the Tribulation, which will be followed by a 1000 years of Christ reigning together with the resurrected saints (referred to as the Millennial Kingdom)”. (The Rapture)
RED FLAGS OF WARNINGS
To me, there are so many red flags of warning in this website it shocks me that slightly under 2,000 hits on Digg meant people were not only reading this garbage but actually believing it. Enough people to cover 20 states of sales for their website!
People actually believe the promises made, believing it enough to pay someone who will supposedly care for their pets when they are lifted up into the Rapture. Without looking backward, it is as if they were going on an ocean-line cruise while finding a caretaker for their pet when they are gone. No biggie to them!
Yet an unknown atheist savior of their animal’s care when they leave is never contacted before-hand. They never meet them nor will the the pet owner be given a name or address to contact before the Rapture occurs:
Q: Can I meet or communicate with my rescue representative?
A: Sorry, No. Our representatives’ information are held in strict confidence.
I wonder if soon they will attract another religious belief—that of the Catholic belief in purgatory–they will be offering to care for people’s pets while they are in transition after dying for $110 of course! But then, this would be more of a commitment for them as even atheists believe in death, just not believing in the Rapture. Purgatory is the condition or process of purification in which the souls of those who die in a state of grace are made ready for Heaven. This would be more complicated by those promising to care for the pets, as it would acquire more animals
much sooner than they desire.
If someone doesn’t believe in God or the Rapture, why would they charge someone $110 to care for their pets for an event they admit freely they don’t believe in?
In other words, they are scamming innocent people by charging them for an act they have no intention of fulfilling as they do not believe it will happen. But for $110 they will respect your right to believe in it AND care for you pet in the event YOU think it will happen. How can they go wrong?
PET OWNERS PART OF THE PROBLEM
Worse yet, pet owners are pretty sure God is NOT going to take their pets into heaven in the Rapture because they are animals—not people. If they did, they would not be paying someone to care for them when they are lifted up out of the blue when the Rapture occurs. The atheists don’t care. They already have your $110 and are laughing all the way to the bank. ($125 if you have two pets)
If you believe in the Rapture, you believe in God. And if you believe in the Rapture, surely you will recognize that is says Christ will rule for 1,000 years after it occurs. Where will the atheist stand then? And….as a believer of the Rapture and God, you probably will believe that God made mankind and his creatures. And if I remember right, the Bible says we are to care for his creatures, who were actually made before we were. So….why wouldn’t they be lifted up first?
Read Genesis in the Old Testament. Creatures in the water were made first with the fowl and cattle made next (Genesis 1: 20-25). Man was made to have dominion over them (Genesis 1:26-31) with God creating man in his own image, in the image of God. In Genesis 2, it was described how Adam was made and how God brought all the creatures he had made of Earth to Adam to be named. (I can hear every scientist and non-believer shuddering at this!)
Anyway. In every animal and plant on Earth…we are part of who they are and they are part of who we are….all made from the same creator. We are equal in our base chemistry with only the outer dust design slightly different. And we shall all return to dust when we pass over regardless who we thing we are. “Dust to dust, earth to earth, and ashes to ashes…”
If animals are important enough to be created first, and their creation is stated so carefully in Genesis before our very own, why would God “accidentally” leave them behind when the Rapture occurs? True believers cannot believe in the God Almighty and the Rapture, yet simultaneously think God is ignorant enough to not plan for the care of his creatures when it occurs.
SERIOUS LACK OF COMMON SENSE
“So what has happened to our sense of responsibility or just plain ole’ common sense? With multi-million dollar lawsuits, jury verdicts of ridiculous proportions and people’s burning desire to land on the winning end of a jury’s verdict, the incentive to take responsibility for your own stupidity has gone out the window.” (Faces of Agriculture)
The above statement is so right. People don’t seem to be able to think critically anymore, having lost the ability to use some good ol’ fashion common sense. This has allowed scammers to step up to the plate and feed you garbage, while you just smile and say, “How much did you say wanted?” Then when you find yourself duped later on….you whine around to the court system in hopes of getting a few million.
Wake up. If someone doesn’t believe in the Rapture, why would he request you to pay him for caring for your pet when it happens? Anyone who believes in this is in serious trouble regardless of your beliefs.
