An Old Dog Funny Story
Posted on November 11, 2010 by WayCoolDogs
One day an old dog starts chasing rabbits. Before long, he discovers that he is very lost. Wandering about, the old dog notices a hungry-looking lion heading hell-bent in his direction with the thought of having a quick lunch … HIM!
The old dog thinks to himself, “Uh, oh! I’m in deep doo-doo (also know as dog poop to us laymen)!” Noticing some pieces of old bones on the ground close by, he immediately settles down to nonchalantly chew on them — with his back to the approaching wild cat.
Just as the lion is about to leap on him, the old dog exclaims loudly, “Boy, that was one delicious tasting lion. A little on the tough side, though! I wonder, if there are any more around here?”
Hearing this, the lion halts his attack in mid-strike. A look of terror comes over him and he quietly slinks away into the trees. “Whew!” said the lion, “That was close! That old dog nearly had me!”
.
Meanwhile, a little squirrel who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree figures he can put this knowledge to some real good use. Why … he would trade it for protection from the lion… like some nuts or something! So, off the eager little squirrel went, excited and hardly able to wait for his winter cache of nuts.
The squirrel soon catches up with the lion, spills the beans and strikes a deal for himself. The lion is furious at being made a fool of and says, “Here, squirrel, hop on my back and see what’s going to happen to that sneaky ol’ canine!”
Now, the old dog sees the lion coming down the road with the squirrel on his back … not your ordinary outdoor scenery. The dog thinks to himself, “WHAT THE …!! Now what am I going to do now? Hmmm….”
But instead of running way, the old dog sits down with his back to his attackers, pretending he has not seen them yet. Just when they get close enough to hear him, the old dog mutters to himself, “Where’s that squirrel? I sent him off an hour ago to bring me back another lion to eat!”
Moral of this story…
Don’t mess with us old dogs… age and skill will always overcome youth and treachery, while good ol’ bullshit and brilliance evolving with age and lots of experience.
If you don’t send this story to five ‘old’ friends right away, there will be five fewer dog lovers out there laughing in the world. Of course, I am in no way insinuating that any of you are old, some are just more ‘youthfully challenged than others’.
You did notice the size of the print, didn’t you? … heh heh
