Best Two Floors Dog Houses

Purchasing or building one of the best two floors dog houses for your family dog is important for two main reasons,  other than providing durability and rigidity. If you choose not to purchase one but to build, than it is preferable to build the floors of the dog house far enough above the ground to prevent snow or water from entering the dog house during the worst times of the year.  Second, it is necessary to provide a second floor of the dog house to sit above the dog house’s first floor—insulating the dog house from any coldness rising from the ground.

The building of the best two floors dog houses do not have to be fancy or complicated. What is important is they need to be adequately put together. Building the dog house in a basic manner with correct supplies allows the dog the opportunity to escape from bad weather and stay dry and warm.

Unless provided with A/C and heat, dog houses should be small enough to maintain heat to keep the dog warm during the winter.

Building the dog house floor should be scaled correctly to fit the dog it is being built for.  People who put money and time into building the best dog houses should make sure the entire dog house is large enough for the dog to turn around easily and stand up in it without being cramped. But at the same time, the dog house should not be too large in size as it will not retain the dog’s body heat during the winter, defeating the purpose of building the double floor for the dog house.

Building the Best 2  Floors Dog Houses

Places online to teach building a dog house with 2 floors can be found on Lowe’s  How-to-Library on “Building a Dog House” or on How-Stuff-Works with their “How to  Build a Dog House“. But regardless where you find your plans (unless you are a handyman who can whip up a custom-built dog house and adding 2 floors), it should be fun and extremely rewarding with your pet right beside you to give you an opinion about what step to do next! The only thing that should be important is to make sure the dog house is the right size for the right sized dog. The online website Leerburg Video & Kennel has the actual measurements for all breeds and the dimensions needed for their dog houses in their website “Dog House Dimensions for Dogs of Various Sizes“.
