With the recent purchase of the Tibetan Mastiff, “Yangtze River Number Two” for $582,000,  paid by a mysterious Chinese millionaire woman by the name of Mrs. Wang, the Tibetan Mastiff has made top headlines in the dog world. With this high capital purchase, this ancient breed of dog is also gathering attention, a breed that legends were made of.

Ironically, another Chinese area where the Tibetan Mastiff stands out is the China Zhongyuan Tibetan Mastiff Research Center, headed by Mr. Wang Zhankui. It is found to offer quality systematic breeding of the beautiful Tibetan Mastiff in China, rescuing this valuable and rare dog while spending excessive amounts of money for their lines to ensure its quality and safety.

09_2_04dsIn 2004, both Mr. Wang Zhankui and his business partner, Ms. Zhai Caihong, had reinvested a large amount of capital while perfecting their breeding center which stands at the foot of the Pingding Mountain, Shecun Town, Gongyi City, in the Henan Provice.

Financing has been introduced into the center as the lines they have will ensure their success, reducing risks in order to win high profit. Choosing one of the Tibetan Mastiff  dogs from the China Zhongyuan Tibetan Mastiff Research Centre will ensure  a high starting point for  future breeding success.

The renowned China Zhongyuan Tibetan Mastiff Research Center is in possession of many kinds of pure Tibetan Mastiff resources, and could supply high quality Tibetan Mastiffs for investors, all of which are healthy and perfect. Meanwhile, the China Zhongyuan Tibetan Mastiff Research Centre would provide permanent consultation on Tibetan Mastiff breeding and how to carry out disease prevention and treatment.

The Henan Tibetan Mastiff Development Ltd.’s Branch in Shānxi Province has  recently opened the Han Hua Tibetan Mastiff Garden, an affiliate of the  China Zhongyuan Tibetan Mastiff Research Center.Their website offers some of the most breathtaking images of their quality lines of Tibetan Mastiffs in the world.

From the AKC Records:
The Tibetan Mastiff, one of the oldest breeds in existence, is considered by many to be the stock from which most modern large working breeds have developed. There is little recorded about the genetic heritage of the Tibetan Mastiff. Much of their history is described only in legend; however it is believed that these dogs remained isolated on the high plateaus and valleys of the Himalayas, developing into the magnificent animal that has been highly prized by the people of Tibet throughout history and today.

The Tibetan Mastiff, with his powerful, muscled body and solemn but kindly appearance, is both regal and imposing. The breed has been used primarily as a family and property guardian for many millennia. He is aloof, watchful of strangers and protective of its people and property.

“We are very pleased to have the Tibetan Mastiff fully registered by the AKC,” said Martha Feltenstein, President of the American Tibetan Mastiff Association. “The legends surrounding the breed, combined with its impact on the modern world, make it a very special dog. Once people see and meet a Tibetan Mastiff, they can easily see why the Tibetan people and monks have honored it for thousands of years. We are delighted that Americans will finally be able to see this wonderful breed, together with many of its descendants, in the Working Group ring.”

AMAZON Tibetan Mastiff Research:

“There is so little information available on this breed in general, that this ‘buried treasure’ is a welcome addition to any canine library. Written a century ago, the breeder/author set out to compare his own St. Bernards to their ancestral Tibetan Mastiffs.

Filled with drawings, photos and historic quotes dating back to the 1700′s from trekkers to the Himalayas and Tibet proper, this “Dead Sea Scrolls” discovery of a book is a recent English translation from the authors native German, unveiling some of the mysterious origins of the ancient Tibetan Mastiff. This book provides a blueprint for the breed for contemporary breeders. Too short in length, but I loved it!” (Four Star product)
