Dogs and Candles–a Match Made in Heaven

Posted on October 23, 2010 by WayCoolDogs

Dogs and candles are a match made in heaven. Anyone with more than one dog (or even just one dog, for that matter) usually has a dog candle burning to remove that slight “doggy” odor that can build up over time. In fact, I have never been in a home of a dog owner that does not have one lit somewhere.  As long as you have it out of reach and the puppy cannot get on a chair — well, you will be just fine — the same as with children. Never leave a candle lit while leaving the home or with a dog in it. They have busy minds and a busier personality for checking things out.

Many dog breeders and pet owners I know actually make their own candles, as compared to buying them by the case on sale somewhere.  Others buy the top dog candles on the market. By shopping online you can find several candle business leads or candle companies that offer specials and sales.  Not only will you save money in your home, but you can sell the candles for an income. Whip you up a few cute candle business cards and pass them out, making animal lovers your targeted field. Check out candle making businesses like “How to Start a Home Based Candle Business 1-2-3″ and see if it is something you would like to do in your spare time. Besides, look at the money you will save not buying candles and gifts you can make for birthdays and holidays.

Febreze

The company Febreze has a wonderful candles out today, candles that I am real partial to. They make one with a wooden wick and a Pet Odor Eliminator. Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is one of the most common lung diseases with many people unable to use candles in the home due to oxygen usage — yet Febreze wooden candlesthey have pets.

Febreze works with this and provides flameless candles that will last longer than most other candles with a unique subtle odor. Candles have come a long ways since they first hit the market, with a huge variety of candles and also odors.

Pet Soy Candles

The Zionsville Candle Company offers over 70 different candles specializing in dog dog soy candlessoy candles, cat soy candles, bird soy candles and fish soy candles. They use natural soy beans that I have found last longer than a lot of candles for dogs than those at the retail stores. Tins available are 8 and 16 ounce to choose from. The candles have a natural soybean scent that gently floats throughout the home.

Top Dog Eco-Candles

The Top Dog Eco-Candles offer over 200,000 combinations for you to choose from to fit your home or office decor. Available are tealites, votives, scent melts, jar candles, and open face containers.

The best part of using these environmentally friendly candles is that they are able to emit a soft scent throughout your room without even being lit. Beautiful natural fragrances like Amish Harvest, Christmas Splendor, or Cabernet Wine are just a few that are available.

The unique part is you can choose scents based on unscented, strong, medium or light. The colors are available in the same way — a red can be bright red or a soft red. To top it off, you can have it gift-wrapped and sent on its way.

Evan Scent Candles

Unique candles from West Virginia in the Evan Scent Candle lines are Snowmen Candles, the ever evan scent candles cake stylepopular Cake Style Candles that comes in an assortment of colors and sizes, 8-ounce square mason jars –all with matching refresher oils and sprays. The cakes have some sort of extra such as drizzle or tied with homespun or a dried apple or orange depending on the scent.

Going online and checking this line of candles out is the only way you can see the huge line of scents that are available for your home. Probably the most unique are the cake candles which makes other candles pale in comparison. Of course, they have the old-fashioned jarred candles that so many people use for their homes.
