Happy Puppy Day! Celebrate With Your Puppy or Older Dog to Make This a Very Special Day

Happy Puppy Day or National Puppy Day celebrates on March 23, 2017. Like a giant family, we at WayCoolDog are celebrating this special day with our readers and their puppies or dogs.

Do something special with your puppy. Go to the dog park and play with a brand new frisbee. Take a run in a new area. Get a new ball and play catch in the backyard. Give your dog a bath and a haircut for the summer. Get ready for the winter and let your puppy help around the house. Get a new collar and leash, make your puppy proud!

Celebrate Happy Puppy Day in health-related ways

On the more serious side, make this a day for treating worms or treating mites. Go for a ride around the lake or take a drive in the mountains, letting your puppy hang his or her head out the open window.

Read to your puppy on Happy Puppy Day

Read a story to your puppy, getting him or her acquainted with your voice. Speak quietly, focusing directly on his eyes, and listen to him. Can you tell what he is thinking or feeling?

History of celebrating puppy day

History of Puppy Day

“National Puppy Day is a special day to celebrate the magic and unconditional love that puppies bring to our lives.  More importantly, it’s a day to help save orphaned puppies across the globe. It’s a day to educate the public about the horrors of puppy mills. National Puppy Day was founded in 2006 by Celebrity Pet & Home Lifestyle Expert and Author, Colleen Paige, who is also the founder of National Dog , Day and National Cat Day (among many others).”

Whatever you do on this wonderful day, make sure your beloved puppy knows this is a special day for him or her. Remember. Every day should be a special day for a puppy. This special day belongs to your puppy. Celebrate Happy Puppy Day with lots of love and fun!
