Muddy Paws Fans Spend More on Their Dog Than Their Partner at Christmas!
Lots of people consider their dog to be part of the family, and Muddypaws.co.uk recently carried out a survey which found dogs to be very high up the pecking order in households this Christmas. They surveyed their Facebook fans and email subscribers and found that nearly 1 in 5 spend more on their dog than their partner at Christmas! A staggering 92% of respondents will be buying their dog a present this Christmas, with the average spending between $28.95 and $68.93.
It’s not just dog owners that are generous during the festive period, but friends and family too. The survey results showed that their dogs usually receive 2 presents from relatives at Christmas. So they’ll have lots of presents under the Christmas tree to enjoy on the big day. Oscar, chief tester at Muddypaws.co.uk, always gets a little treat at Christmas and even has an advent calendar, along with 32% of the survey respondents. After all, dogs should be allowed to enjoy the countdown to Christmas too.
The survey also showed that dogs up and down the country will be enjoying a tasty dinner or enjoying a few extra treats to get into the festive spirit. Eighty-four percent of survey respondents said that their dog will be enjoying a doggie Christmas dinner or some extra treats. Let’s hope lots of dogs will enjoy Christmas this year, as it sounds like they’re in for a treat!
