National Dog Blog Carnival #2 Coming Up!

“If you talk to the animals they will talk with you and you will know each other.
If you do not talk to them you will not know them and what you do not know, you will fear.
What one fears, one destroys.”
—Chief Dan George
I would never have ran across the above statement if I had not have read Beth’s daily blog, “Attuning Animals to Reiki – Yes or No“? As I normally do (taught by my deceased mother) I kept digging as it interested me tremendously. On any given day, my mother would have her dictionary, thesaurus, and maps spread out on the kitchen table to simply read a news article or a magazine article (her favorite would be Discover Magazine or New Scientist) — wheres I personally prefer the Internet to research things out. She never would just “glance” and read on –saying “why bother if you can’t gain something out of it? Why be so busy you cannot learn from the world around you? It makes a better person out of you.”
Anyway, enough reminiscing … read Beth’s article as it is excellent and then che ck out her articles and links inside her article. Follow the trail and leave some comments. Isn’t that the American way today?
Upcoming National Dog Blog Carnival #2
Our National Dog Blog Carnival #2 is coming right around the corner (April 30th deadline for entries) and its topic will be natural healing, natural training, and so forth. We respect traditional medicine but feel natural work is better if the situation allows it.
I have met some wonderful natural healing practitioners and those who use natural healing procedures at Twitter and hopefully this upcoming carnival will bring about a “digest” of who they are and what they do.
This is our second carnival, and we are almost at double the entries what it was last month. So if you are into natural healing on any level, please get your entries in as soon as possible to <dogblogcarnival@waycooldogs.com or nancy@waycooldogs.com>. You can also go to the website Blog Carnival to enter, getting a good idea of the many other blog carnivals going on in the world. Any of those three ways will get your favorite blog URL to us for submission.
Alternative Health – Way of Life in our society
More and more, animals are becoming part of the American way of life — considered as family members instead of simply “the dog” or “the cat.” Being responsible for their care and our own is now involving becoming knowledge about natural health care, playing a major part in preventing diseases. People of today’s society are going to great lengths to improve not only their own lives, but that of their pets. At the top of that list is looking at alternative natural healing and alternative therapies, seeking to provide relief for disease, pains, and every day aches of the bones and muscles for our beloved pets.
Not every website in cyberspace on natural animal care and healing can be accepted as being truly adequate in its educational information, so follow the trail behind it — read the reviews and the answered questions. Look at the information and how it is put together. Being able to discern truth is a vital part of being on the Internet in today’s times, and following your instincts and common sense plays a big part in this. But top of the list is to know your dog. And know them well. The tiniest sign of illness or discomfort is usually an unknown one except on the energy level — long before the animal will become ill.
