Premiere of Hallmark’s “You Lucky Dog”

We have just received a press release from Jocelyn Brandeis, Freelancer for Hallmark Channel PR, requesting a post on Way Cool Dog for Hallmark Channel’s new original family film, YOU LUCKY DOG, which premieres on Saturday, June 26 at 9 PM (ET/PT).
Observing no borders to its affection, this Border Collie is stuffed full of love! With excellent quality construction and attention to lifelike details, its thick, furry coat and doggy "smile" characterize a fabulous canine companion. Measures 22.5" x 18" x 10".
The background of the story involves a Border Collie by the name of Lucky. According to the American Kennel Club, more than 20 types of herding dogs in America help farmers move their livestock along – from the barn to the grazing fields and back. And herding dogs, which are generally of medium build – 25-60 lbs., have existed since farmers realized their herds were potentially under attack by wolves and other four-legged hunters.
“Move along,” “Keep in line with the others,” “Don’t be left behind,” and “Pay attention.” No, these aren’t just the things you often hear a parent forcefully telling a child. These are common statements barked by herding dogs to their flock. Herding dogs are highly athletic, intelligent, confident, intense, command respect, and are generally high-energy, and also make wonderful therapy dogs, search and rescue dogs, sled dogs and hunting dogs. And in competition, herding dogs are determined, wanting to please, and run their obstacle courses efficiently, agilely and speedily.
It is the duty of a herding dog, like “Lucky,” the rescued Border Collie in Hallmark Channel’s original HD film You Lucky Dog, to keep her sheep in line and keep the wolves at bay. And Lucky does more than that – she becomes a hero when a group of children need her help escaping a forest fire.
Starring Natasha Henstridge (“Veronica Mars”) and four-time Golden Globe nominee Harry Hamlin (“Eli Stone”), You Lucky Dog premieres on Hallmark Channel on Saturday, June 26 at 9 PM (ET/PT).
