Dog Kennels in the Winter

Posted on November 22, 2011 by WayCoolDogs

The average dog cannot tolerate significant temperature variations, like its human owner. The animal’s feet and legs are its most sensitive areas exposed to the severe cold…or heat…as they are in direct contact with the frigid world around them. But the northern dogs have adapted to deal with this by tissue adaptation to the cold.

Arthritis Help for Dogs

Posted on September 29, 2011 by WayCoolDogs

For me, cats and dogs are the only living things here in the world that can love us more than we love ourselves. They are our friends, partners and most of the time our defender. Our pet deserves to be loved back so I always take extra care to check on what food they eat [...]

Product Review: Healthy Digestion for Dogs

Posted on September 06, 2011 by WayCoolDogs

Most pet owners do not realize how important the digestive system is and what it is all about. Dull coats, lots of fleas or mites, vomiting, bowel problems and lack of appetite are all signs of bowel issues or digestive problems. Listening to Your Dog – An Unbiased View

Posted on August 30, 2011 by WayCoolDogs

Every morning when I would wake up, my little dachshund Holly greets me with happiness and lots of kisses, verbally filling the room with excited little barks … as if to say, “Good morning, good morning, good morning!” She is happy without fail and always forgiving….something we humans should learn to do.

I, on the other hand, am not as cheerful until my second pot of coffee…which she has not yet learned to make.

What Your Vet Expects From You at the Office

Posted on May 16, 2011 by WayCoolDogs

Running a dog rescue of old dogs requires many vet visits to our family vet, more than usual. Our dogs come from all backgrounds, all ages and health situations — and behaviors. We have dogs who would take a stranger’s finger off in minutes, and others who would help a stranger carry all our valuables (not that we have any) smiling all the way with their tail wagging. This same personality is demonstrated toward our vet.

A Dog Story: Jovi (Job)

Posted on April 22, 2011 by WayCoolDogs

The motionless heap on the table bore no resemblance to a dog – it looked to be no more than a filthy bundle of horribly matted hair, leaves, debris and foul-smelling excrement.
