Foster Home Found for Katrina Canine Survivor!

Posted on June 12, 2011 by WayCoolDogs

We received notice today from Stella’s Hope that Larry, the pit-bull Lab mix that had survived Katrina, had found a foster home for dogs yesterday. He had been on a cement run in a shelter for over a year, and was developing sores and dermadectic mange from it. Our recent article on “Katrina Canine Survivor – Gentle Larry” was published June 8th in the hopes of helping find the guy a home. Whatever the reason, Larry is now in a loving foster home. Hopefully soon he can be permanently adopted for his much needed forever home.

Her sad face reminded me of the little alien in ET, and I could almost hear her saying ‘home, home . . .‘

But out of these numbers, three to four million are being euthanized as we [...]
